The Breath of Immemorial Light from the Darkness: Lee Dongsu Solo Exhibition
‘Resonance’ in Lee Dongsu’s works can fall in the same context with Asian Buddhism’s Indra’s Net, in whose view, ‘every existence is intertwined with each other in a net.’ It is, after all, an expression of harmony that transcends time and space and in which humans and nature are organically connected. The reason Kim Dongsu mentioned ‘resonance’ is also simple: as the individuality of water particles becomes meaningless in rivers and seas, space in our life is one body of ‘overlapped time and space’ in which many individual ‘instants’ have been accumulated.
