BEYOND CREATURE: SHEN Shubin Solo Exhibition

BEYOND CREATURE is the first exhibition of artist Shen Shubin in Shanghai in 2021 curated by ARTL GALLERY. It is also a personal exhibition of artists from Shen Shubin and his works following the 2017 Minsheng Art Museum and Lingnan Art Museum in 2019. This exhibition selected works from various series of artist Shen Shubin in recent years (2016 to 2021), from the "Void Carnival" and "Embrace" series to the "The Rationalism of Existence" series reinterpreted since the epidemic. Some animal portraits and works on paper are also interspersed. There is an exploratory expression on paper, watercolor works have a certain time span, but ink painting is totally a new and surprising experiment, the traditional literary spirit in the artist's bones has been awakened from it. The choice of different media is very inspiring for repeated thinking on the same theme. Outside of art, what we talk about is far more than painting, and artist Shen Shubin has devoted himself to painting year after year to lead us to feel beyond creature.
