The protagonist of artist Han Sangyoon is a happy family of pigs,

and we sincerely feel "happy" with the company of these pigs.

Although the original intention of the artist was to use the appearance of pigs to express "we who are forced to make a fake smile in reality", as the artist feels that he is getting richer and richer in his heart, the image of pigs has been transformed into a carrier of "overcoming dark setbacks and enjoying life to the fullest".

Pigs normally look happy. In a larger sense, this can be interpreted as a lucky omen or an auspicious omen. There is a metaphor of happiness in the interpretation of luck-bringing appearance combined with the auspicious omen. Artist Han Sang-yoon dreams of a happy victorious life free from suffering in the world painted by his own, by personifying the motif of the lucky omen represented by pigs. The elements that make stand out the happy pigs consist in the plane composition where the Oriental brush strokes are harmonized with a variety of charms, which are observed uniquely in his works. The outline of the work gives shape to two-dimensional lines experimented by the early modernists, while the colors filling the object are formed with clarity and simplicity, playing a role in “maximizing the theme.” This composition was created to allow easy understanding of the form and the content by harmonizing color-field pursued by the Western modernism on the basis of “the essential frame of how to use brush strokes” stated by a Chinese artist Xie He of the 6th century in The Record of the Classification of Old Painters.
